Mark and Tricia Krimm


Both Mark and Tricia grew up in Kingwood and graduated from Kingwood HS. Mark attended McMurry University where he played Football, ran Track, and earned a degree in Education/Psychology.

Mark served as an area director for Young Life for 18 years here in Kingwood, New Braunfels, and Nashville. He currently teaches Psychology at Kingwood HS, coaches football and basketball, and leads a Young Life club. Mark has a passion for relationships, teaching and telling the stories of God’s Word, and fun. He and Tricia have been married 24 years and have 3 grown daughters (Stephanie, Sara, Sydney).

Jonathan & Candace Coffey - Lead Team

Jonathan & Candice Coffey


Jonathan and Candice were b oth born and raised in s outh Louisiana. They met in 1998 as student leaders in a college ministry. They married in 2000 and have two children, Angelle and Jackson. Since their marriage, they have discipled and trained individuals and couples to fulfill their purpose in Christ.

In the spring of 2010, the Lord began to stir within their hearts a desire for something new. During the summer through a course of God ordained events and confirmations it was evident they were supposed to be apart of Journey Church. So, in October of 2010 they moved their family to Kingwood, Texas.

In addition to their strong call, desire and love of ministry Jonathan and Candice work in the business and health industries. Jonathan holds two degrees, one in marketing from LSU and the other in Biblical studies and Candice holds a degree in nursing and practices as a registered nurse.

They thoroughly enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, watching movies and live theatre and all things LSU. GEAUX TIGERS!

Rick Hutchinson - Worship Pastor

Rick Hutchinson


Rick Hutchinson was born in Gloversville NY. At an early age, he moved to Northeast Arkansas where he lived until his High School graduation in 2005. In the spring of that year, Rick received a dual academic/golf scholarship to Central Baptist College in Conway, AR.

During his college education, he began to lead worship for New Life Church, where he eventually went on staff as an associate worship pastor. Rick completed his college education in 2009 receiving a Bachelors of Business Marketing. In the summer of 2010, Rick was presented with the opportunity of becoming part of Journey Church’s staff and relocating to the Houston, TX area. With much prayer and guidance from mentors, friends, and family, Rick made the transition to Kingwood, TX to become Worship Pastor of Journey Church.

Along with leading worship at Journey Church, Rick enjoys learning and playing music whenever the opportunity arises. In his spare time, he still enjoys playing golf and watching the NBA.
